Giant Snowballs Block Roads

snowballGritter drivers in the West of England were called away from gritting their main routes as they were needed to clear giant snowballs placed on the roads by Pranksters.

Giant snowballs were blocking traffic routes in Barry Road and Rookery Lane in Aldridge.

The local councillor Adrian Andrew said that the massive balls of snow were put in place by ‘irresponsible yobs’.

Andrew said ‘These giant snowballs have been put in place by louts and could have blocked emergency services.’

A council digger was used to break the snowballs up and remove the compacted snow that was left. A council worker said that the parts looked like the head and body of a giant snowman, although it would be impossible to lift onto the other.

With councils already working at breaking point, although the people who have made the snowballs may see the funny side, they could have serious implications
